Hi, I’m Teddy
I’m Thaddeus “Teddy” Ojibe. For more than 30 years I served children and families as a child welfare social worker and manager. On 9/1/2025, at 62, I retired — and a big question showed up right away: Who am I now? What’s next for me?
Retirement Rewired is how I’m finding out, out loud, with you along for the ride.
Why I started this
For years, my work was centered on helping children and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. Like many professionals, I eventually discovered that retirement isn’t simply about leaving a job — it’s about rediscovering who you are when your title, schedule, and daily responsibilities are gone.
I will share the real-life lessons I have learned and continue to learn in my new phase of life, along with some practical guides to help you in your retirement planning. This is my way of giving back, especially to my former colleagues who are contemplating retirement or already retired.
